You may have noticed that things are looking different at kstewartphotography.com.  The wedding website is up, and I am already booking for spring, summer and autumn in Birmingham and beyond.  Soon I’ll add some engagement photos, and more from recent weddings, the lifestyle/portraiture side has a lot ready to be updated as well.  So keep checking in for more never-before-seen pictures!

My inner storyteller has a hard time picking just a few photos from a wedding, so I am breaking this up into 3 posts with 7-10 pics each.  Here’s more from Ashley and Staci.

A sweet couple I know from church tied the knot, and I had the privilege to help Camille out with their photography.  The lovely and talented Amelia Strauss shot with us as well, and brought some of her distinctive style into the mix.  Anyhow, it was a lovely day that reflected Ashley and Staci and I wanted to share some of it with you.

I love shooting newborns: posing and playing and getting to cuddle babies so tiny and new to the world.   So much so that I throw in a free announcement design for my clients.  Here are two recent designs.  Coincidentally, they are fairly similar, both of these moms have a classic style!

I tweaked the blog to allow for larger pictures… here’s K + J having fun at their engagement shoot.

As you’ve probably noticed, I have been dabbling in wedding photography for some time and will soon take the plunge with a parallel wedding website.  My wedding work will share this blog with “lifestyle” photography: the newborns, children, family and high school senior photography I still love.  At first I wasn’t sure I wanted to mix everything up, but I have seen how shooting weddings has benefitted my family photography (and vice versa.)  I am excited about being able to photograph more of your moments, the everyday AND the special days.   There will be plenty of opportunities for lifestyle shoots, but as always it is beneficial to get on the calendar early as I have filled up in the past (even without wedding photography in the mix.)  Thanks for inviting me to share in your lives, I’ve enjoyed it so much!

There’s one more day for the sale and giveaway, but in the meantime, I thought I’d share some captures from a wedding I second shot for Camille last month.

Alan and Meredith met in Auburn’s show choir and they are both excellent singers.  Music featured prominently in the ceremony and during the reception, Alan and some of the groomsmen serenaded Meredith a capella.  It was a treat for all who were present!
