Maria + Jeremy | Birmingham Engagement Photographer
Maria and Jeremy are another one of my winter couples. I have been looking forward to their wedding for some time because it promises fun and flair, two of my favorite things in weddings. Like many of my e-session couples, I dragged them out of bed early in the morning for good light and a semi-abandoned botanical gardens (in the autumn, on a weekend, that’s a rare thing indeed.)

Lee + Julia | Birmingham Engagement Photography
I met up with Lee and Julia on one of the coldest mornings so far this fall. We took an hour to eat breakfast at the Original Pancake House in hopes that it would warm up enough for their e-session, it did, and we all managed to avoid the dreaded carb hangover. Hanging out all over the city with them was such a pleasure and their wedding this winter promises to be a lot of fun.

She is going to be such a beautiful bride!
Andrew + Lindsay | Birmingham Engagment Photography
Lindsay and Andrew don’t think they photograph well, but I disagree! I am really looking forward to their wedding next month.

Marshall + Tabbie . Columbiana Engagement Photographer
I met Marshall and Tabbie early one morning in downtown Columbiana for a fun e-session. Columbiana is where they met, where they take their walks, where they got engaged, and I’m glad I got to capture them there.

I’m looking forward to their wedding this fall!
Drew + Caroline | Birmingham Engagement Photographer
Caroline and Drew are getting married this fall in Charleston, but we spent their engagement session exploring their new town, Birmingham. Everything looks a little different early in the morning on a Sunday, but it was still fun to share some of my favorite spots with them. They wanted to start out at the Botanical Gardens, one of the few places they had visited in town.

Then we headed to Five Points and walked around, I tried to point out all the great restaurants that they should be going to (like Chez Fon Fon!) and also explained where to park. Drew is a Clemson grad, and they enjoyed doing a few pictures that expressed his love for his Alma Mater.

Finally, we ended up at Cobb Lane. Caroline loved the brick street that reminded her of Charleston, and Drew is excited about heading to the J. Clyde, our favorite neighborhood spot for a beer, so I was glad to share it with them.

We love Birmingham, and can imagine living here for the rest of our lives. Randomly, I spent four years as a tour guide at UNC-Chapel Hill, getting good at walking backwards and waxing poetic about places I love. So, this session that merged with sharing about Birmingham was immensely fun for me. I hope Drew and Caroline find Birmingham as hospitable and homey as we have!
Robert + Lindsay | Birmingham Engagement Photography
A few more from this sweet couple, looking forward to their big day in August!

Landon + Amber | Auburn Engagement Photographer
We hit the road last week for an engagement session in Auburn with Amber and Landon. Though their wedding is in Birmingham, they met and live in Auburn, so it seemed like the obvious choice for their engagement session.

Landon and Amber laugh a lot, so this next one captures them to me:

The bench where they got engaged.

We found some barns on campus, hiked around a pond, and subjected ourselves to mosquitoes aplenty for these next few. Amber is a trooper!

So looking forward to their wedding this fall!
E-Session Gallery Up!
This is long overdue, but I finally have an engagement session gallery on the website. You can see it here.
Robert + Lindsay | Birmingham Engagement Photography
Here’s a preview from Robert and Lindsay’s sweet engagement session. They chose to take pictures at Tannehill, which Lindsay grew up adjacent to and has always spent a lot of time at, and I think it suited their style really well.

I love this laid back couple, and I can’t wait for their wedding in August. It should be simple and a whole lot of fun!
P + L | Wedding & Engagement Photography
I was privileged to spend the afternoon with Philip and Lyndsey capturing some engagement photos. What is most evident when I am around them is that they love each other and truly enjoy one another, they have fun!

I’m so looking forward to this wedding!
