Details . Birmingham Wedding Photography
Here are some of the great details from Maggie and Drew’s wedding. The beautiful flowers were done by the fabulous Anna Gilmore.

Maggie and Drew . Birmingham Wedding Photographer
Maggie and Drew tied the knot Saturday at the Donnelly House. The weather threatened, but everything worked out and the outdoor ceremony went on as planned. Their wedding day was joyous, intimate and fun and I was so glad to be a part of it. Special thanks to Camille for assisting me.
Here’s a sneak peak at their day, detail shots coming soon!

This next photo is too funny not to include.

Flower girls awaiting their big moment.

Congratulations, y’all!
Lindsay + Robert . Birmingham Wedding Photography
Lindsay and Robert were married Saturday and Emily, Natalie and I had the privilege of being there, documenting it. I’ll let the pictures tell the story, but wasn’t Lindsay a gorgeous bride?

Congratulations, y’all!
Marshall + Tabbie . Columbiana Engagement Photographer
I met Marshall and Tabbie early one morning in downtown Columbiana for a fun e-session. Columbiana is where they met, where they take their walks, where they got engaged, and I’m glad I got to capture them there.

I’m looking forward to their wedding this fall!
Sweet Sisters | Birmingham Family Photographer
You might recognize these beauties from some of their previous sessions, they are always a joy to photograph!

I photographed Caroline early this spring for her second birthday, but I couldn’t resist getting another shot of her, too.

What a lovely family in every way. I hope they enjoy this preview!
Second Giveaway | Birmingham Photographer
If you comment on a blog post or a picture in one of the albums on the facebook fan page before 9:30 CST on Monday morning you’ll be entered to win a free mini-session. Just make sure you leave your email address with your blog comment (it’s not visible to the public) so I can get in touch with you if you are the winner!
You can find out all the details about the giveaways here.
Sisters & Friends | Birmingham Child Photographer
Our two little girls are 17 months apart, and love to proclaim that they are sisters and friends. Raising them together has given me a special soft spot for little girls close in age, so I was excited to meet new clients with daughters even closer together! Sara’s first birthday was the official reason for the session, but Hallie tagged along for all of the fun.

Obviously, they are really adorable children, and I had fun getting to know them!
First Giveaway | Birmingham Photographer
The first session went to Erin A.! Congratulations, Erin. The rest of you will have another opportunity to win soon.
This one is as easy as can be: email the three words I often use to describe my style to contests @ k stewart photography . com (take out all the spaces.) Here’s a hint: the three words are 15 letters total. The first giveaway ends at 12:00 CST on Wednesday, July 15th. I will use a random number generator to choose the winner among the correct entries. You can read about the rules and prizes here.

Best of Luck!
Summer Giveaways! | Birmingham Photographer
Let’s beat the heat together by having a little fun… I am going to do three contests in the next five weeks, each announced here and on my facebook fan page. Each contest will have different ways of entering to spice things up, but the prize will be the same each time:
One 30-minute mini-session and One mounted 8×10 print. You decide what you want me to photograph: some cute couple pictures you’ve always wanted in everyday clothes, your child, pictures with your new pet or just a classic family session for your Christmas card. You must live or be willing to travel to Birmingham, AL or Raleigh, NC. These sessions are not transferable (don’t worry, I’m going to do a big giveaway towards Christmas where you can nominate someone else who deserves one.) We’ll work out a location, and the session must be completed in 2009.
Best of luck to you!
Drew + Caroline | Birmingham Engagement Photographer
Caroline and Drew are getting married this fall in Charleston, but we spent their engagement session exploring their new town, Birmingham. Everything looks a little different early in the morning on a Sunday, but it was still fun to share some of my favorite spots with them. They wanted to start out at the Botanical Gardens, one of the few places they had visited in town.

Then we headed to Five Points and walked around, I tried to point out all the great restaurants that they should be going to (like Chez Fon Fon!) and also explained where to park. Drew is a Clemson grad, and they enjoyed doing a few pictures that expressed his love for his Alma Mater.

Finally, we ended up at Cobb Lane. Caroline loved the brick street that reminded her of Charleston, and Drew is excited about heading to the J. Clyde, our favorite neighborhood spot for a beer, so I was glad to share it with them.

We love Birmingham, and can imagine living here for the rest of our lives. Randomly, I spent four years as a tour guide at UNC-Chapel Hill, getting good at walking backwards and waxing poetic about places I love. So, this session that merged with sharing about Birmingham was immensely fun for me. I hope Drew and Caroline find Birmingham as hospitable and homey as we have!
