On the Seventh Day of Christmas…

leave a comment »

Yes, I used one of the 2008 card designs for my own family.  I really love many of them and they were coming in looking great.  Additionally, the day had come where if I didn’t throw my daughters in dresses, run outside and snap a few pictures and plop them in a design, cards wouldn’t be happening for us this year.   So, we scurried around and got it done.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Twelve Days of Christmas Sale & Giveaway

with one comment

The Twelve Days of Christmas (of song and lore) traditionally begin on Christmas Day and go for twelve days, ending January 5th.  Historically, this was a time of great feasting and merriment, and to thank you for a great year I’d love to offer you something to make your season bright.

Sale (for everyone!)
If you email me about booking in 2009 during the Twelve Days of Christmas and pay at least 1/2 of your sitting fee as a deposit by January 31st, you get a $20 print credit, absolutely free.  It’s that simple.  You don’t need a date and time to hold your spot, just name your month, and you will have priority for that month’s schedule.  Out of town clients, I am happy to talk to you about when I am planning to be your way so you can take advantage as well.

Giveaway
Everyone who is a member of the email list or facebook group will be entered in a giveaway for a free session in 2009 gift certificate.   You can use it yourself or give it to a friend.

Merry Christmas to all, may you have an enjoyable holiday and happy new year!

Kappi & Jim | Birmingham Engagement Photographer

with one comment

My friends Kappi and Jim are getting married next month and we got together several weeks ago for a fun engagement session.  Our locations were places that are very special to them, which always makes great pictures!

The last two pictures were in the exact spot Jim proposed.

They love to ride Jim’s motorcycle together, and it looks cool, don’t you think?

Two fun and photogenic people makes picking pics for a preview very difficult.  I am so excited for your wedding day, Jim and Kappi!  It was fun to hang out with you and I look forward to doing it again when you all are married.

In addition to the blog and listserv, I’ve started a Facebook page as one more place you can follow Kristen Stewart Photography. Important announcements will be posted everywhere, you can just check what’s convenient. I am doing a giveaway coming up later this month you’ll need to sign up for the listserv or become a fan on the Facebook page to participate in, so you may want to go ahead and do that just to be all set!

Charlie | Birmingham Newborn Photography

with one comment

I had the chance to photograph the most precious little boy (and his big sister, too!)  This is my last newborn of 2008, so I’m going to give a little longer preview because I miss shooting with all the processing and ordering and card making that’s been on my agenda of late!

I love the way she instinctively held his little hand to look at it.

I can’t believe he was jaundiced just a day or two before.  He has the best color!

I hope you enjoyed your preview, Kelly!  I am so glad to have had a chance to meet Charlie his first week and capture some of his sweet details.  I’ll have the rest to you in a few days.
